Peri-implantitis: Prevention, diagnosis, and the EFP S3 guidelines – A clinician’s roadmap
Dental implants have revolutionized modern dentistry, offering a reliable and aesthetic solution for tooth replacement. However, with their widespread use, we are also witnessing a rising concern—peri-implantitis. This inflammatory condition, if left unchecked, can lead to implant failure, significantly impacting both patients and clinicians.
In this session, we will explore the latest EFP S3 guidelines on peri-implant diseases, providing an evidence-based approach to prevention and diagnosis. General dental practitioners will gain the confidence to recognize early signs of peri-implantitis.For general dental practitioners considering implant placement or those already practicing implantology, this session will highlight how evidence-based protocols can significantly reduce the risk of peri-implantitis, ensuring long-term implant success.
By the end of this session, you will have a clear roadmap to safeguarding implant longevity and ensuring better patient outcomes.
